Do you know who I am? I am a Sahrawi. The land to which I refer is what is known today as the non-self-governing territory ofWestern Sahara. My country was colonized by the Spanish and the French between 1884 and 1975, divided in two and occupied by Moroccan and Mauritanian forces thereafter, and has been ruled exclusively by the Kingdom of Morocco from 1979 until the present.

Oblivion it seems is the current reality for the arid North African territory of Western Sahara; often referred to as Africa’s ‘Last Colony’. In my opinion, it would be more accurate to describe it as ‘Africa’s Forgotten Colony’.

الشرطة المغربية تفرقُ بالقوة مظاهرة ضدَ الغلاء في مدينةِ طنجة شمالَ المغرب


الشرطة المغربية تفرقُ بالقوة مظاهرة ضدَ الغلاء في مدينةِ طنجة شمالَ المغرب


حشود مغربية غاضبة تتظاهر ضد الغلاء في مدينة طنجة قبل أن تتدخل الشرطة لاستخدام القوة

استخدمت شرطة مكافحة الشغب المغربية القوة لتفريق مظاهرة ضخمة دعت إليها “جمعية أطاك المغرب” للإحتجاج على تردي الأوضاع الإجتماعية في المغرب و ارتفاع أسعار المواد الغذائية و الخدمات الأساسية.
و تقول معلومات الدولية إن قوات مكافحة الشغب استخدمت العصي و القنابل المسيلة للدموع لتفريق المتظاهرين في ساحة الأمم وسط مدينة طنجة أقصى شمال المملكة المغربية.
و كانت تسير في التظاهرة الإحتجاجية التي خصصت أيضا للتضامن مع الشعبين التونسي و المصري حشود كبيرة قدرتها مصادر الدولية بالمئات،
و ردد المحتجون  شعارات غاضبة ضد الحكومة المغربية مطالبين بإقالتها فورا،كما رفعوا شعارات تطالب بما أسموه حقهم في السكن و الشغل و حياة اجتماعية كريمة،كما رفعت شعارات منددة بالسياسة الحكومية،مطالبين برحيل “الحكومة الفاسية” على حد تعبيرهم.

وقد رابطت أعداد كبيرة من قوات الشرطة في الشوارع المحيطة بالتظاهرة،قبل أن تتدخل بقوة لتفريق المتظاهرين حينما كانوا يتجهون صوب شارع محمد الخامس في وسط المدينة مرددين هتاف ” الانتفاضة…الانتفاضة..”
