Do you know who I am? I am a Sahrawi. The land to which I refer is what is known today as the non-self-governing territory ofWestern Sahara. My country was colonized by the Spanish and the French between 1884 and 1975, divided in two and occupied by Moroccan and Mauritanian forces thereafter, and has been ruled exclusively by the Kingdom of Morocco from 1979 until the present.

Hussein Ndur: Detenciones políticas a defensores de Derechos Humanos

El sábado, día 9 de diciembre de 2010, fueron detenidos los defensores saharauis de derechos humanos, Hussein Ndur, El Mustafa Labras y la activista saharaui Oum Fadli Jaouda, en el aeropuerto de El Aaiún, en el Sáhara Occidental, cuando se disponían a viajar hacia Sudáfrica, para participar en el Encuentro Mundial de las Juventudes.

El sábado 11 de diciembre de 2010, tras su comparecencia ante el Tribunal de Apelación en El Aaiún (Sáhara Occidental), el Juez de Instrucción del Tribunal ordenó el traslado de los tres a la Cárcel Negra de El Aaiún.

Hussein Ndur, es un activista saharaui de Derechos Humanos muy conocido en el Sáhara. Nació en 1980 en la ciudad de El Aaiún, capital del Sahara Occidental. En aquellos momentos se vivía una de las peores épocas en el Sáhara Occidental, la ciudad de El Aaiún estaba totalmente bloqueada por un muro, plagado de minas, que aislaba cada ciudad del Sahara. Estos muros fueron levantados por Marruecos, durante la guerra contra el Frente Polisario, como germen del muro de más de 2.750 km que divide el Sáhara de norte a sur, construido con el asesoramiento de Israel. Dichos muros que rodeaban las ciudades saharauis fueron eliminados por Marruecos, cuando el muro de la vergüenza medía la longitud necesaria para impedir el avance del Frente Polisario.
